On-time delivery rate (OTDR) of 70% or more now required

Last updated Sep 28, 20262 sources
IN SHORT

Seller-shipped orders now have to be delivered within 5 business days of the order date, and you need to keep the on-time delivery rate at 70% or above.

What to do

3 items
  1. Review the days to delivery

Weekends and holidays don’t count as business days. Revisit your shipping cut-off time and carriers.

  2. Check the on-time delivery rate every week

It’s assessed every Monday over the past 7 days. Above 60% up to 70% gets only a warning the first time and reduced visibility after that. At 30% or below, orders are capped at 30% of the daily average from the first time.

  3. Appeal delays with an accepted reason

Delays caused by specific accepted situations can be appealed (the official guide lists the evidence needed).

DEADLINEIn effect. If you haven’t checked yet, review it this week.

About confidence. Shops with very few orders delivered in the period aren’t penalized, but the order-count threshold isn’t stated. The metric goes by two names in Japanese: the guide’s title says 納期遵守率 and the announcement says 定時配達率.
