How TikTok Shop Japan’s sales (weekly GMV, gross merchandise value) have moved, with the breakdown over time. These are third-party estimates, not official figures from TikTok. Every row shows its source and confidence. Amounts are in yen; Japanese sources count in 億円 (¥100 million), so ¥1 billion = 10億円.
Dots mark the weeks the source published. Kalodata doesn’t publish every week, so some weeks in April–June are missing, and the line across those stretches is drawn lighter (it connects the dots; it isn’t measured data for the weeks in between). The red dot is the all-time high. Week 4 of January (¥997 million) appears only in the table, not in the chart, because its exact dates can’t be confirmed.
From mid-July to the end of August, weekly GMV moved between ¥2.3 and ¥2.8 billion — about ¥10 billion a month. The “1.5× a month” growth talked about right after launch is over. The latest week (week of Sep 21, 2026) came in at ¥2.26 billion (+5.26% week on week), below that range for the third week in a row.
The first-anniversary sale week (week of Jun 22) set the all-time high at ¥3.46 billion. Two weeks later, the week of Jul 6 fell to ¥1.79 billion — almost half (−48%). If you take part, plan to cut inventory and ads after it ends.
In the week of Aug 24, GMV rose 12.26% even though ad budgets fell 4.7%.
The average selling price went from ¥1,872 in April to ¥2,202 in the latest week.

Every week comes from the weekly report of Kalodata Japan (Kalodata is a TikTok Shop analytics provider; the reports are published on PR TIMES and may be republished with credit) or from articles republishing it. Some weeks come from secondary outlets and are treated with lower confidence. For the week of Aug 3, the primary release (¥2.297 billion) and a secondary outlet (¥2.23 billion) disagree; we use the primary figure. The CSV uses plain units (yen and counts) and English column names.
When we record a change, we post it on X first, and we write up each week’s numbers on note. Both are in Japanese. Email updates are in preparation.
